Power Skating Clinics

Skating is by far the most essential skill of ice hockey; if you can’t skate, you can’t play. The focus of our power skating camp is to improve each hockey player’s quickness, balance, speed, agility and power through the use of a series of specifically designed hockey drills and exercises.

The Pinnacle Power Skating program is designed to teach, develop and reinforce proper skating techniques to provide the novice skater a strong foundation and self-confidence from which to grow as a hockey player; and will allow the more seasoned player to perform elite level skating maneuvers with total confidence.

Clinic Dates and Times: TBD

Checking With Confidence Clinics

Pinnacle Hockey’s Checking With Confidence Clinics are primarily designed to teach players at the 14U, 16U and 18U age groups, but proper body contact can be taught to all age groups, both boys and girls. This clinic will teach players how to apply checking in the best tactical, technical and ethically responsible way. Developing sound checking skills for all players is a necessity. Not only does a team’s defensive ability largely rely on each individual’s ability to check effectively, but the safety of all players is directly dependent on how well they are trained to protect themselves. In addition, the safety of the opponent is also jeopardized if players are not trained to check the right way. The right way includes physical ability, technical skills and ethical judgement.

Sundays 8/9 & 8/23 from 2:00-3:30 - First 30 minutes will be dryland checking in full equipment, players will wear athletic shoes instead of skates for dryland.

Fee: $40 per session
